Philip Polstra

Dr. Phil Polstra was born at an early age and has been programming since age 8 and hacking electronics since age 12. He is currently an Associate Professor teaching Digital Forensics and computer security at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He is no stranger to infosec conferences having presented at numerous conferences around the world. He is also an author. Most recently he published a book, "Hacking and Penetration Testing with Low Power Devices" (Syngress, 2015), on using the BeagleBone Black and similar devices to perform coordinated attacks with networks of small devices and is scheduled to publish "Linux Forensics from A to Z" in Summer 2015.

Phil is an internationally recognized expert on USB forensics and hardware hacking. When not teaching he is known to fly, build airplanes, teach others how to fly, and to teach his children how to build electronics and program microcontrollers.
